Biography

I’m a passionate Research Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the steel industry, specializing in Oil and Gas applications, advanced materials, and metallurgical design. My work focuses on developing innovative steel alloys and optimizing high-strength materials for extreme environments, especially those exposed to corrosion, high-temperature, and high-pressure conditions.

I’ve had the opportunity to work on everything from designing Advanced Ultra High Strength Steels (A-UHSS) to conducting corrosion testing for harsh environments like NACE and H2S. My research interests also include studying material degradation mechanisms like stress-corrosion cracking (SCC), hydrogen attack, nitriding, and temper embrittlement using optical microscopy and other metallographic techniques.

Outside of work, I love to cook and bake, it's a great way to unwind and experiment with creativity in the kitchen..

Research Interests

-Understanding and mitigating material degradation mechanisms such as stress-corrosion cracking (SCC), nitriding, hydrogen attack, and temper embrittlement, with a particular emphasis on developing advanced steel alloys for high-performance applications in oil and gas, aerospace, and other extreme environments where materials are subjected to corrosive, high-temperature, and high-pressure conditions
-Material performance validation for corrosion and high-strength applications
-Metallography and microstructural characterization
-Welding procedure development
-Quality control in steel production processes
-High-pressure and high-temperature materials analysis
-Offshore and onshore steel alloy development for extreme conditions
